and helps to keep them stimulated and entertained. This is especially true for small animals who need to keep their teeth trimmed and all our toys are non toxic if they need a nibble! We'll even deliver all their food and accessories directly to your door. Just give us a call, let us know what you need and where you live and one of our shops in West Wickham or Bromley will sort out your order. Alternatively, you can ring and collect - whatever works for you. Get in touch to find out more.
Rabbits and guinea pigs
Rabbits and guinea pigs are amazing, affectionate and social pets however there's a few things to consider before you buy one. They need social interaction, plenty of exercise, and a lot of enrichment activities. We have plenty to choose from including our 'Nibble 'n' Dig Meadow' which is full of different herbs, grasses and edible flowers, rooted in loam and carefully dried, perfect for foraging. We also have a selection of rabbit chews which are a great way to keep their teeth in check, along with houses and hutches so that they have their own space to relax.
Hamsters and gerbils
Hamsters and gerbils are relatively straightforward and easy to care for. As with any pet, it's important to make sure they've plenty to keep them occupied. We've got bridges, beds and houses they can clamber on or snooze inside during the day when they're least active. It also gives them somewhere that they can empty out those cheek pouches! Let us know if you need any help and we can suggest some of our favourites.
Chinchillas and degus
Chinchillas can live for 10 -15 years, so it's important that you're aware you're in it for the long haul! They can be quite skittish and don't like to be on their own, so you will need to make sure you take time to socialise with them. They are mainly active at night which is an important consideration if you don't want them to keep you up late, so also make sure that they have plenty of toys to give them the exercise and stimulation they need. Degus live for around 6-7 years, are very playful, curious and love to chew things. They also like to dig, so make sure there's adequate bedding that allows for this. If you're not sure what you need, please just ask.
Rats and ferrets
Rats and ferrets are intelligent, highly social and inquisitive animals who spend lots of time exploring and playing, so it's important to keep their minds active to keep them out of mischief. While there are many different ways you can do that, toys are one of the best ways to keep them busy. Remember, a rat's teeth don't stop growing, so make sure you have plenty of things for them to chew, such as our Rosewood Chill&Chew
mats.
